Once you get engaged, everything starts happening really fast. Family and friends will start asking questions about the wedding (where, when, how) and won’t rest until they have answers. You can use the rest of your vacation to relax and prepare some answers to the barrage of questions you know is awaiting you back home (and fully enjoy your first few days of being engaged!).

Instead of proposing somewhere “normal,” you can always remember that far-off, magical place you proposed at. (Plus, you have an excuse to go back.) All of your friends will be jealous of how picturesque your proposal was, and you’ll love telling the story over and over again (maybe you should hire a destination photographer to make sure you have those pictures!).
