Before your session, we’ll talk about your family, what you want to capture, locations, outfits, and what you ultimately want to do with your photographs. Have no idea what everyone should wear? That’s okay—that’s what I’m here for!
Your family session lasts approximately 60 minutes. We’ll get the beautiful classic portraits, but there will also be plenty of playing, exploring, snuggling, and probably a little bit of chaos! The candids tend to be the favorites :)
About 7–10 days later, you’ll come back to the studio and see your photographs for the first time! Together, we’ll narrow down your favorites and look at albums, wall art and other options for displaying your beautiful images.
Your included digitals will be delivered and any albums, framed artwork or other products you select will be professionally created for you. Then comes the best part—you actually get to see and enjoy your family photographs every single day.

For the best selection of dates, I recommend booking your family session at least 4–8 weeks in advance. Fall is by far my busiest season, so if you’re dreaming of those gorgeous fall family photos, the earlier the better! That said, it never hurts to ask about last-minute availability. I photograph families throughout Springfield, Missouri and the surrounding areas, and I also travel for sessions—so if you have somewhere special in mind, tell me about it!
Family photography experiences begin at $600. And the best part? That investment isn’t just for the time we spend taking pictures—it includes a $600 credit to put toward the images and artwork you love most ❤️
You can use your credit toward 10 digital images, each with a matching professionally printed and matted photograph, or put it toward a custom album, wall art, or other heirloom pieces for your home.
Want the digitals? Perfect. Want an album the kids can flip through for the next 20 years? Love it. Want that giant family photo on the living room wall? Let’s do it!! You can always purchase more if you fall in love with everything (which may be the plan 😉), but there’s no requirement to spend beyond your $600 starting investment.
This is probably one of the biggest questions I get—and please don’t feel like you have to figure it out alone!
I generally recommend coordinating rather than matching. Think complementary colors, layers, textures, and outfits that feel like you. Once your session is booked, we'll set up a design consultation and I’ll help you plan everything so your outfits work together and photograph beautifully! And yes, you can absolutely send me pictures while you're shopping and ask, “Does this work?!” ❤️
A little bit of posing and a whole lot of playing! We’ll get the classic everyone-looking-and-smiling photo for Grandma, but then we’ll move on to the good stuff! Snuggling, running, tickling, exploring, dancing, throwing kids in the air—whatever gets your family interacting naturally.
Your kids do not need to behave perfectly for me - In fact, some of my favorite photographs happen when they don't 😉
Yes! I want the experience—and the artwork you fall in love with afterward—to feel manageable. Payment options are available for both your session and product purchases. If you fall in love with an album or that giant piece of wall art you have to have, just ask me about payment options at your ordering appointment ❤️
After your session, I’ll carefully prepare your images for your viewing and ordering appointment. We schedule the reveal appointment at your photoshoot, and it's usually 7-10 days after our session. That’s when you’ll get to see everything together, choose your favorites, and decide which images you want as digitals and which ones deserve a spot on your walls or in an album.
Once you've made your selections, I'll fully edit your chosen images and get everything ready for you. Custom artwork can take 6-10 weeks (they are custom made for you!) and digital images only take a day or two 🥰
YES—and this is one of my favorite parts of what I do! Your photographs don't have to spend their lives buried on your phone or computer. I offer custom albums, framed artwork, canvases, matted prints, and other heirloom products designed to actually be enjoyed in your home ❤️
