How much does photography with Gambles Photography cost?

For most portrait sessions, full-service photography experiences start at $600. That includes the time we spend planning and photographing your session plus a $600 credit to spend on the images and products you love most. You can use that credit toward 10 digital images with matching professionally printed and matted photographs, or put it toward albums, wall art, and other heirloom products.

And nope—there isn't a sneaky minimum purchase waiting for you at the end. If $600 is where you want to stay, that's completely fine! If you fall in love with everything and want to add more, you absolutely can!

Wedding photography is priced separately because every wedding needs a different amount of coverage. Wedding collections are customized based on your day, coverage, and any sessions or products you'd like to include.

I believe in being really upfront about pricing, so you'll know what things cost before you ever have to make a decision. No surprise fees. No awkward sales pressure. Just lots of really pretty things you may have trouble saying no to 😂

What does “full-service photographer” mean?

As a full-service photographer, I help you through the entire experience—from planning your session, choosing outfits and finding the perfect location to guiding you in front of the camera so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.

After your session, we’ll meet back at the studio to see your photos for the first time. I’ll help you choose your favorites, compare sizes, design albums and wall art, and figure out what actually makes sense for your home and your family.

Full-service simply means you don’t have to figure any of this out alone. I’m here from the first “What should we wear?” all the way to getting your finished photographs into your hands—and onto your walls ❤️

What's the booking process like?

You start by filling out my contact form and telling me a little about what you’re looking for. From there, we’ll schedule a quick inquiry call so we can talk through your ideas, what you want from your photos, and make sure we’re a good fit.

Next is a design consultation - you'll come to the She Shed, or we can meet via zoom to go over the location, outfits, products and the overall game plan! You'll have every questioned answered before we ever go to our photoshoot ❤️

Describe your editing & shooting style:

Candid and true to color! I'm not the photographer that uses presets that turns skin orange, grass blue, or makes every daytime shot look like midnight. Your photos will look REAL! Shooting wise, we'll do those classic posed shots but we're also going to laugh and play to get those (once again) REAL moments!

What does Master Retouched mean?

My style is true to color as described above, but let's get into specifics - When an image is 'fully edited' I have smoothed skin, removed blemishes, whitened teeth and cleaned up the background (when needed). Your images will be polished and ready to be printed!

What can I do with my digital images? 

After you get your photos back, you'll also receive a print release. This allows you to post freely! I do ask that when you post on social media that you tag my business page please 🥰  What you can't do with your images is enter them into a contest without permission, sell them, or pass them off as someone else's work.

What happens if it rains during my session?

You'll have an option to reschedule, play in the rain (it's soooo much fun!) or we can find an indoor option. Flexibility is key when working with Missouri weather! 

Can you help me choose a location for my photography session?

Absolutely! You don't have to come to me already knowing exactly where you want to take pictures. Tell me the vibe you're going for and I'll probably have a few ideas immediately! I photograph sessions all over Springfield and Southwest Missouri—from fields and flower farms to downtown, lakes, waterfalls, my studio, your home, and some pretty random hidden gems I've collected over the years.

How far in advance should I book a photography session?

As soon as you know you want one! Certain times of year—especially fall, weekends, and popular seasonal dates—fill much faster than others. How early you should book also depends on what we're photographing. Weddings and newborn sessions typically need more advance planning, while I can sometimes squeeze in a portrait session much sooner.

If you're wondering whether I have room, just ask! Even if your session is last-minute, it's always worth checking.

What happens after my photography session?

Within about 7-10 days, we'll meet back at the studio for your viewing and ordering appointment! You'll see your photos for the first time, choose your favorites, and I'll help you decide what you actually want to do with them.

We'll look at digital images, professionally printed and matted photographs, albums, wall art, and all the other pretty things. I'll help you compare images and sizes and figure out what makes sense for you and your home. Once you've ordered, your digital images are delivered within a day or two, while custom products generally take a few weeks to arrive.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I never want you to fall in love with an album or piece of artwork and feel like you have to pay for everything all at once.

Payment plans are available for larger purchases, so we can break your balance into more manageable payments that work with your budget. We’ll go over all of your options at your viewing and ordering appointment, and you’ll always know exactly what you’re spending before you commit to anything.
