Photography has pretty much been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started in middle school when I got my first little point-and-shoot camera and quickly became obsessed with taking pictures of EVERYTHING 😂 By high school, I had my first photography internship—and that's when I was given a piece of advice that stuck with me:

“Artists starve. Business owners thrive.”

So I went to college for a Marketing degree, had one 'real job' out of college and then decided to take the leap to become a full-time photographer in 2012! I've been doing this ever since 🥰

And in all those years, I've learned that being a great photographer and running a great photography *business* are two completely different skill sets.

I've tried things that worked AMAZINGLY and things that absolutely flopped. I've changed my pricing more times than I can count, figured out how to turn inquiries into bookings, built workflows that keep me sane, experimented with marketing, refined my client experience, and learned a LOT of lessons the hard way.

And I don't believe in gatekeeping any of it.

When you mentor with me, I'm not going to hand you a generic workbook and tell you how you're 'supposed' to run your photography business. We're going to dig into YOUR business—your photography, editing, pricing, website, marketing, branding, workflow, client experience, goals, and whatever is currently making you want to pull your hair out 😂

There’s nothing like hands-on training! We’ll meet beforehand to scout, prep, and talk through how I approach the session. Then you’ll watch me work in real time—from finding the light and choosing locations to posing, prompting, and keeping the session moving. You'll also be shooting every pose and location with guidance! 

Afterward, we’ll sit down together to cull, edit, and talk through what worked and why. You’ll leave with hands-on experience, practical tools you can use at your very next session, and images for your portfolio.

Focus & Flourish: 6 Week 1:1 Mentorship

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all course. For six weeks, we’re digging into your photography business—what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s keeping you from getting where you want to go.

Together, we’ll create a personalized strategy for your business and actually start putting it into place. From your portfolio and editing to pricing, branding, marketing, workflow, and client experience, we’re looking at the whole picture.

You’ll finish with more than a list of ideas—you’ll have a clear direction, an actionable plan, and six weeks of changes already in motion.
